you'd have to have some pretty good horsemen to get 'em to zero. i can't seem to chase the enemy down where they are running. my horses seem to have a lag time when i order movement. is that normal?

Oh yeah, Heh heh heh. The secret is haste spells.

I typically spend the 1st 6 turns hasting all my henchmen and cavalry ( my units are all stacked around the center point on the formation map), while my priests and rangers cast prayer and war cry. Turn 7 sees my henchmen hasted to somewhere around 700% and they can easily surround the enemy. Place them every 4th hex and the poor suckers can't get through to run away. Hit 'em with the cav and mounted infantry and it's all over but the shouting. Using horns of fear is a plus also.

{NB: It's gonna be a while until you'll be able to pull this off on a regular basis as you need somewhere around 9-12 henchmen to fully encircle and it's dangerous to use mages and priests to do this due to their low hit points.}

In S2 (the intelligence section in an Army unit) 'Tittie' meant 'good info', something to stow away and use later, nourishment, great stuff. That last post was full of it and now I want to build more cavalry units, Henchmen, Etc. But the Henchmen, Mages, etc are limited by the game (maybe how long you have been playing?). Can I control this so I can hire more?

Number of hires are limited by your character's level. As you increase in level, you'll be able to hire more.

Here's my current 'Traveling Force':
In Battles where I have total command there's enough henchmen (Warriors and Knights; even though the priests, mages and rangers have enough hit points to survive an attack or two, they're busy casting spells) to almost encircle the enemy twice. Each one carries a Horn Of Fear that pretty much puts an end to any attacks by the enemy.
