The Trade page lists your own Stores, and allows you to select which of those you would like to trade with other cities. There are two options you have to set up your trade. The simplest option is to set the quantity of a Store that you would like to trade. For example, if you have a huge surplus of Food that you wish to trade for much-needed Armor, put a quantity in the Export box on the Food row, and put a quantity in the Import box of the Armor row. When you save the trade data, you will see a list of other cities that wish to export Armor and Import Food.
IMPORTANT: Note that you may only trade with other cities that you have information about. So, if you have no trade options, you should Scout other cities to attempt to find one or more to trade with. During the course of the game, you may get information about conditions in other cities, which could be a clue that you should Scout that city as there may be an opportunity for trade. See the World page for information on Scouting and other options to learn about another city.
The Automatic function allows you to set a minimum level for export that the trade function will not go below, reserving that amount for your use and a maximum level for import that, when reached, will not trade that item further. For each category you choose to set, those items will be traded for other items whenever your reserves are above the minimum and below the maximum you have chosen and there is a willing trading partner.
